Driving You Crazy: Lane Closures Along Maryland Parkway

LAS VEGAS - A viewer asks why lanes remain closed on Maryland Parkway between Cactus Avenue and Pebble Road when it appears road work is completed.

In addition to lane restrictions on Maryland Parkway, Silverado Ranch Boulevard is also down to one lane, each way, during the middle of the day. The lane restrictions combined with traffic from nearby Silverado High School make traveling through this area a miserable commute.

County officials say the general work is complete, however, they still need to finish punch-list items. Crews will adjust manholes, install new pavement markings and add median islands. They are also adding a new traffic signal at Cactus and Maryland.

All cones and closures are expected to be cleared by the first week of November.
