LAS VEGAS -- New Year's Eve revelers who have too much to drink will have some options when it comes to getting a safe ride home.

AAA Nevada is offering its Tipsy Tow service to drinking drivers from 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve until 6 a.m. on New Year's Day.

The free service will provide one-way transportation for the driver and vehicle to the driver's home.

"We want everyone to ring in the New Year by having fun and enjoying the evening with friends and family," said AAA spokesperson Michael Geeser. "But we want everyone to do it safely and responsibly."

Drivers, party hosts, bartenders and restaurant managers can call (800)222-4357 (AAA-HELP) for a free tow of up to 10 miles.

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada is also offering free transit rides on all routes from New Year's Eve at 6 p.m. until 9 a.m. on New Year's Day.

Also, one local tavern has entered into an agreement with BellTrans to make sure customers get home safely. Sagos Baja Tavern and Lounge at 4790 S. Fort Apache Rd. will provide free transportation to customers who need a ride.
