Crash Forces The Salvation Army Thrift Store to Temporarily Close | Charity
Title (Max 100 Characters)
The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Henderson is now closed after someone drove through the front of the building.
The crash happened Wednesday at the store at 360 N. Stephanie Street. The city building inspector looked at the damage and determined the store was not safe. The Salvation Army is working to repair the building as quickly as possible. The accident also means that 15 people are out of work until the repairs can be made.
The charity says the crash and repairs could not come at a more difficult time. Donations are down for the thrift stores. The money raised in the stores is directed towards The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Program, which helps people recovering from drug, alcohol and gambling addiction. The store on Stephanie Street is one of the most lucrative that the charity operates in southern Nevada.
