A well-known group from the 90s will be back on the stage in southern Nevada Friday.

Blues Traveler will be performing at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 South Green Valley Parkway.

The stop is part a tour in honor their 25th anniversary and in support of their new album "Suzie Cracks the Whip."

Blues Traveler is best known for its hit song "Run-Around."

Tickets go on sale Friday for the southern Nevada stop on The Monkees summer tour.

The band made famous by hit songs and a hit TV show in the 60s will take the stage at Green Valley Ranch Resort Saturday, August 10.

All of the remaining Monkees will part of the lineup, including Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork. They'll play some of their greatest hits such as "Last Train to Clarksville" and "I'm a Believer", plus some songs they have not played since the 60s.

VIP ticket packages go on sale Wednesday. The packages include a copy of the upcoming deluxe edition of "The Monkees Present" and can be purchased exclusively at monkees.com.

Musical Production of "Charlotte's Web" Starts this Weekend

 

A musical adaptation of a beloved children's classic will open this weekend at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.

"Charlotte's Web" tells the story of a remarkable pig and a more remarkable spider and the friendship they weave together.

The musical was written by Joseph Robinette with music and lyrics by Charles Strouse.

The Las Vegas Shakespeare Company is presenting the musical this weekend. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Another showing of the performance will be next weekend as well.

World Music Guitarist to Play at Henderson Pavilion

An award-winning guitarist is returning to Henderson Friday, this time to play at the Henderson Pavilion.

Jesse Cook will be playing music from his new album “The Blue Guitar Sessions” and other material with his distinctive rumba-flamenco style. The stop is part of a 60-city tour in support of his new album.

The performance starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $10.

Cook participated in the grand opening of the pavilion’s sister venue, the Henderson Events Plaza, in 2006.

A band that had several hit songs during the 90s are back on the stage in Henderson.

Blues Traveler will perform at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 South Green Valley Parkway, Friday, May 17. Tickets for the show go on sale Tuesday.

The Grammy-award winning group is touring in support of their new album "Suzie Cracks the Whip." It is also in honor of their 25th anniversary.

The group is still led by singer John Popper and his harmonica. Their song "Run-Around" topped the charts in the mid-90s.

Remodeled Upscale Movie Theater Opens Friday

 

A long-shuttered movie theater in Green Valley makes a triumphant return Friday as a luxury spot featuring reclining seats and alcohol service.

Galaxy Green Valley Luxury+ Theatre, located in the Green Valley Town Center shopping center at 4500 E. Sunset Rd., will feature  eight screens and luxury amenities including beer on tap and wine service, cushioned reclining seats with powered footrests and extra-wide rows. Reserved seating can be purchased online at galaxytheatres.com, via Galaxy Theatres iPhone and Android app or in-person at the box office. For show times, call 442-0244.

The theater originally closed in 2005 as the entire shopping complex faltered, leaving only Barley’s Casino in the west end of the large area.
