Henderson Police Offer Citizens Academy | News

The Henderson Police Department is accepting applications for its upcoming Citizen Police Academy.

The academy provides an unique insight into how the department works. People will get a look at community policing, the use of force policies, SWAT, detention centers and criminal investigations.

The academy will be from February 5 through May 5, every Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. All classes are mandatory. It is open to all Henderson residents 18 years and older.  All applicants must complete an application, background check and interview.

The application deadline is January 21. Applications can be downloaded from cityofhenderson.com/police/citizens.academy.php

• North Command - 225 East Sunset Road Henderson, NV 89011
• West Command – 300 S. Green Valley Parkway Henderson, Nevada 89012
• The Community Relations Office located inside of the Galleria at Sunset
