Henderson Police getting money for Joining Forces events
Henderson Police received more than $100,000 in federal funding to conduct Joining Forces events over the next year.
The department will conduct 15 Joining Forces patrols between Oct. 19, 2014 and Sept. 7, 2015. Officers will be focusing on traffic safety by targeting impaired and distracted drivers, pedestrian safety, speeding and seat belt use.
The grant will be used to pay for the costs of extra staffing for the patrols will last about two weeks.
