Early Voting Sites for Henderson City Election

 

Locations will be available throughout Henderson for voters wishing to cast their ballot early in the coming weeks.

Early voting for the Henderson general election will be available between May 20-31 at Henderson City Hall, Galleria at Sunset mall and neighborhood voting sites. Anyone wanting to vote in the general election must register in advance.

Times are as follows:

Henderson City Hall, 240 Water Street

First floor, Office of the City Clerk

May 20-30

  • Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Friday-Sunday & Memorial Day: Closed

Galleria at Sunset, 1300 W. Sunset Road

Lower level, Kohl's Court 

May 25-31

  • Monday-Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at these locations on these dates

Vote Throughout the City for Henderson Municipal Election

 

Voting in Henderson’s municipal election does not require going to a traditional polling place. Instead, registered voters can choose from any of 10 locations to cast their ballots for the city’s mayor and council.

The locations are spread throughout the city for the April 2 primary election from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Vote centers replace traditional precinct polling locations and were introduced in Henderson in the 2007 municipal election.

Early voting remains open through March 29. A list of early voting sites can be found at VoteHendersonNV.com.

Henderson municipal elections are nonpartisan. Registered voters may vote for any candidate regardless of party affiliation or the ward in which they reside. In addition, candidates’ party affiliations do not appear on the ballot or in the sample ballot.

Early Voting Locations Set for Henderson Primary Election

 

Early voting for Henderson’s primary election will begin March 16 at locations throughout the city.

You must be a registered voter in advance of early voting in order to take part. Henderson residents can register to vote in person March 4-12 at the city clerk’s office at Henderson City Hall, 240 Water St.

Government students at Silverado High School got an inside look at a career in politics during a special class Friday.

Republican Sen. Dean Heller of Nevada stopped to talk to the seniors about working in politics and the current political climate in Washington.

Following the speech, Heller answered questions from students on a variety of topics, including education, budgets and immigration.
