Local Breakfast Chain Opens New Location on Eastern

Just months after a car crashed into the patio of its Sahara Avenue location, Egg Works and Egg & I opened its fifth location in southern Nevada.

The new restaurant opened Monday morning at 10839 S. Eastern Ave. in Henderson, between Horizon Ridge and Sunridge Heights. The standalone restaurant is the former home of Bonefish Grill, which closed and later reopened at Town Square.

The company suffered a serious blow when a car drove into the Sahara location’s patio April 1 during the lunch rush, seriously injuring 10 people. The restaurant closed for weeks before reopening in early May.

Business hours are 6 am until 3 pm daily. The local restaurant chain first opened in Las Vegas in 1988.

Berry-Licious Pancake to Raise Money for Breast Cancer Cure

Berry-Licious Pancake to Raise Money for Breast Cancer Cure

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and a popular eatery has created a special pancake to help raise money for a cure.

Hash House a Go Go created a 'cake for a cure made with berries that some studies have suggested have cancer-fighting phytochemicals, including raspberries, cranberries and strawberries. The pancakes also have cherries and pomegranates which are high in antioxidants.

The restaurant will donate $1 from the sale of every 'cake for the cure through the entire month of October to a group of Las Vegans who will be walking in a breast cancer fundraising walk.

"It's great to be able to assist Las Vegans participating in Susan G. Komen's 3-Day walk with our very berry-licious 'Cake for the Cure pancake," said Jim Rees, owner of Hash House A Go Go. "Our Chef created a delicious and health-conscious pancake for everyone to enjoy."
