Makeover Time for Galleria at Sunset Mall

Makeover Time for Galleria at Sunset Mall

Long overdue for a facelift, the Galleria at Sunset will soon receive a $7 million renovation beginning this month.

The makeover will be the mall’s first since it opened in 1996. Construction is slated for completion in the fall.

Boutique Talulah will join H&M as new tenants. H&M will be two levels, approximately 20,000 square feet and located in the heart of the shopping center. Bath & Body Works and Express stores will relocate to new locations and will open this fall.

The renovation will improve the food court, center court, guest services center and the restrooms. There will also be additional amenities added, a family restroom, equipped with private nursing rooms and a family waiting area.

Additional added benefits will include renovated common areas with new seating, package carry assistance, free Wi-Fi, stroller rental, and a new ride for kids.

Revitalized Shopping Center Getting New Stores

Revitalized Shopping Center Getting New Stores

A shopping center in the southeast part of the Las Vegas valley is enjoying a revival.

The innovative and revitalized Galaxy Theatre in Green Valley Town Center shopping center at Green Valley Parkway and Sunset Road recently opened. Theatre owners said the property is exceeding expectations.

Now, two new businesses announced they are opening in the shopping center. 99 Spa and Meld Apparel are both opening next month.

The owners of the center say the new theatre and stores are just the beginning.

"We have seen a lot of traffic in prospective tenants. We are touring the property three to four times a day. And we expect to have that center refilled in a relatively short period of time," Phil Ralston, president of American Nevada Realty, said.

Ralston said the center is a great place for businesses because about 30,000 cars drive along Sunset Road every day.

Changes Loom for The District in Henderson

The new owner of The District at Green Valley Ranch wants to bring vehicular traffic and parking to the shopping center's main street, but some Henderson residents fear the change would harm the development's peaceful environment.
