Cowabunga Bay Moving Forward

Cowabunga Bay Moving Forward

A water park planned for Henderson is finally moving forward.

Cowabunga Bay is being built on Galleria Drive between U.S. 95 and Boulder Highway. According to the company's website, the park will be open May 24.

The park plans include a wave pool, a lazy river, VIP cabanas, two restaurants and more than 25 water slides and attractions.

Developers broke ground last year, but delayed the opening.

The park means people in Henderson will not have to drive across town to Wet 'n' Wild in the Las Vegas valley's southwest side to cool off at a water park.
