Go Underwater for Easter Eggs in Pool Hunt

Easter egg hunts are a holiday tradition. Underwater easter egg hunts, however, throw tradition a curve.

The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its annual Egg Dive, an all-ages underwater egg hunt, from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 7 at Whitney Ranch Activity Pool, 1575 B Galleria Dr.

Spots can be reserved online at cityofhenderson.com/parks (activity 136700-00) or at any City of Henderson recreation center or indoor pool. Participation is $2-$3 per person.

Dozens of colorful eggs will be hiding along the bottom of the pool. The swimmer who finds the most in each age group wins a prize. Each swimmer should bring a basket to hold all of his or her eggs.

For the safety of all participants, each age group will “dive” at designated times:

  • Babies through age 4, 1:15 p.m
  • Ages 5-6, 1:30 p.m.
  • Ages 7-8, 1:45 p.m.
  • Ages 9-10, 2:15 p.m.
  • Ages 11-12, 2:30 p.m.
  • Ages 13 and up, 2:45 p.m.

Children under 8 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult within arm’s reach at all times and those requiring lifejackets must have an adult with them in the water.
