If you loved the Slip ‘n Slide on hot summer days, it’s coming back at a Henderson event.

The city’s parks and recreation department invites you to slide in to summer from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 8 at Anthem Hills Park, 2256 N. Reunion Dr.

Slide In To Summer includes a giant slide for all ages, mini slide for younger children, bounce house, lawn games, super human bowling and sun safety tips. Light concessions will also be available for purchase.

Admission to the all-ages event is free, but a donation of a non-perishable food item to benefit Hope Link would be appreciated. The first 100 people to register in advance will receive a surprise at the event. Register at cityofhenderson.com/parks (activity 336311-00) or at any City of Henderson indoor pool or recreation center.

“This event takes things a step further by putting a giant slip and slide on the hill at Anthem Hills Park,” said Adam Blackmore, Aquatics manager, City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department. “The slope at the park provides the perfect amount of velocity for an exhilarating and very wet slide down to the bottom.”

Participants (or their parent/guardian if under the age of 18) must sign a waiver at the event in order to take part. Beach towels are recommended. For additional information, visit http://cityofhenderson.com/parks(click What’s Happening) or call 267-4000.
