Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada has a multitude of programming available this summer for girls 5 to 17 years old. From day camps to single day programs, girls can discover fun and friendships to last a lifetime.

Colorful World of Arts Day Camp

Join Girl Scouts and have fun turning nature into art pieces. Discover how to reuse items like paper, paint, wood, metal and more. There is no limit to their imagination and the materials available to say something about themselves, their world and their interests.

Donations of water and money are being sought to help hydrate the homeless through the brutal southern Nevada summer heat.

HELP of Southern Nevada’s “HELP2O” campaign seeks to help protect homeless residents by donating water and spare change at Whole Foods Market now through August. Those looking to donate bottled water can do so by visiting Whole Foods’ Tenaya (7250 W. Lake Mead Blvd.) and Town Square (6689 Las Vegas Blvd.) locations. 

Bottled water donations can be purchased in-store and donated, or purchased elsewhere and dropped off at Whole Foods. The water will be collected on a regular basis and distributed throughout the area.

The city’s parks and recreation department invites you to slide in to summer from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 8 at Anthem Hills Park, 2256 N. Reunion Dr.

Slide In To Summer includes a giant slide for all ages, mini slide for younger children, bounce house, lawn games, super human bowling and sun safety tips. Light concessions will also be available for purchase.
