Teen Lounge Opens at Library
Public Spaces

The Green Valley Library officially opens its Teen Lounge Tuesday.

The new lounge features an area for teenagers to do homework and three computers for kids with library cards. It is not just about fun, the lounge is also equipped with both a Wii and PS3. Games can be checked out for an hour at a time. There is also comfortable seating for socializing.

The library wants the space to be a place for home-schooled teens to hang out during the day, and a safe place for kids in traditional schools to come after school.

The lounge was made possible by a $25,000 donation from Bobby and Sandy Ellis.
