Improvements Coming to Southern Beltway

Drivers in the southeastern part of the valley should be prepared for lane restrictions and closures along the Southern Beltway as crews work to widen the roadway.

Crews will start work on expanding I-215 from I-15 to Windmill Lane this week. The construction will add one lane in each direction so there will be a total of four lanes. The project also calls for the expansion of bridges over the Beltway at Paradise Road, Warm Springs Road, Robindale Road and the Airport Connector.

The project is expected to take about two years to finish and cost $30 million.
